I graduated on Friday! I now have a high school diploma and illustration certificate. I graduated with honours which means that my average grade for all four years was over a 90. I picked up my diploma at 11 and had teachers sign my yearbook until 12. I got home at 1, got dressed and went to the train station. My graduation was at Hunter College so I knew how to get there.
金曜日、卒業式でした。高校の卒業証書とイラストの免状をもらいました。私は名誉賞で卒業しました(年間の私の平均点が90ポイントであったことを意味します)。11時に卒業証書を貰って、12時まで、先生達にアルバムにサインを書いてもらいました。1時ごろ帰って、ドレスを着て、地下鉄の駅に行きました。卒業式はハンター大学であったので、どうやって行くのかは知っています。
I wish I brought the camera but my mum took it with her. ; n ;
カメラを持って行きたかったけど、母が持っていきました。
My aunt and parents came late so they had to sit in the balcony. My mum couldn’t take a lot of pictures because she didn’t have a zoom lens. There were over 300 students so the line was long. I didn’t receive any awards but My friend won the art award.
両親と伯母さんは遅くに着いたので、バルコニーに座らなければなりませんでした。そして、母はカメラのズーム・レンズを持っていないので、写真はあまり撮りませんでした。300人以上の学生がいたので、列は長かったです。私は美術で賞をもらえませんでしたが、友達は受賞しました。
When the ceremony was over there was a big crowd in the hallway. It was hard to walk and it started to rain so no one wanted to move. It took a while but I got through. There was thunder and lighting and I had an umbrella but my parents didn’t. Later, we went to Flushing and ate Korean food.
式の後、廊下は混雑していました。雨が降っていたので、皆なかなか動かなくて、歩くのがたいへんでした。雷と稲光がありました。そして、私はかさを持っていましたが、両親は持っていませんでした。家族とFlushingと韓国料理に行きました。
Today there is going to be a graduation party. My friend is paying for it and invited a lot of people. It’s going to be late at night, on a Sunday night. The party is in Staten Island and that’s two hours from my house. I don’t like half the people who will be going to the party. I don’t like parties so I’m not going.
今日は卒業パーティーがあります。友達はお金を払って、たくさんの人を招待しました。今日は日曜日で、パーティは夜にがあります。スタテン・アイランドであって、私の家から二時間、電車に乗った所です。パーティーが好きじゃないので、私は行かないんです。

Swine Flu Dance
私達は美術の授業で仮面を作って、学校のクラスメート達は豚インフルエンザのダンスを作りました！ビデオの中でデニースちゃんと双子は仮面をかぶっていました。
西インド諸島のスタイルのダンスです。そして、アメリカの方言と西インド諸島の方言はとても違います。 時々、私も彼女の言葉が分かりません。

Monday was the last day of classes! We had a big breakfast party and everyone brought food. We played a slideshow of the photos I took throughout the year and my classmates started crying. We put on music and partied all day.

After school, my art teacher invited us to go with her to High Line Park. On the way she bought us organic ice cream! We sat in the park for two hours and ate cookies while we talked. It began to rain so we went home.
授業の後で、美術の先生とHigh Line Parkに行きました。公園まで歩いている途中、彼女はアイスクリームを私たちに買ってくれました。二時間ぐらい公園で座って、話しながらクッキーを食べました。雨が降りはじめたから、帰りました。

My Japanese class ended at 5:30 and I walked with my friend to her train. When I got to my train station, I kept walking. I walked into a whole bunch of stores and asked for job application forms. I picked up forms from Starbucks, Pinkberry, Godiva among other places.
私を日本語の授業は五時半に終わって、友達と駅まで歩きました。私の駅に着いても、歩き続けました。店の中に入って、仕事の申込み書を求めました。スターバックスやピンク・ベリーやゴディヴァに申込み書を取った。
I walked from 68th to 42nd looking for jobs. Then I heard music coming from Bryant Park. I was tired so I sat and listened. It was a gypsy band but the lead singer was a Japanese man from Tokyo. After the event, I spoke to him in Japanese and got his autograph. My vocabulary isn’t very expansive so I only spoke a little to him.
六十八番ストリートから四十二番ストリートまで仕事を探しながら歩きました。そして、音楽はブライアント公園から聞きました。足が痛みましたから、座って聞きました。ジプシーバンドですがリードシンガーは東京からきた日本人です。イベントの後で、シンガーと日本語で話して、サインをもらった。ボキャブラリーがそれほど豊富でないので、少し話しただけでした。

Saturday and Sunday was the Sakura Matsuri in NYC. We went on Sunday but it rained. We watched the events under the tent and someone lent us a blanket to lay on.

「スモモも桃も桃のうち 桃もスモモも桃のうち」を言った。
たくさん「もも」があって難しいですが、 でも出来ました！
